Whitesand Mirage Wins Impressively

May 18, 2007 - Whitesand Mirage, the newest addition to the stable, flexed his muscles winning tonight in a $25,000 claiming event at the Meadowlands with Yannick Gingras pushing all the right buttons.  After being used a touch to obtain the lead, Gingras backed down the pace and when they turned for home, Whitesand had plenty more in the tank as he opened up over four lengths on the competition.  He hit the wire with an impressive 1:51:0 victory with a speedy 27:0 last quarter.

The six year old son of Life Sign took down a purse of $9,900 and is Jeffrey S. Smith's first training victory for the stable at the Meadowlands.  The 1:51:0 final time went into the stable recordbooks as the fastest timed race on a mile track.
