May 11, 2007 - PaceToPlaceStable.com claimed Whitesand Mirage out of a $20,000 claimer at the Meadowlands Racetrack.  The horse sat last in a shortened six horse field and at the 5/8ths tipped to the outside.  That flushed out the horse sitting fourth, Grand Place, and that one towed Whitesand Mirage into the race perfectly.  At the top of the stretch, Grand Place took the lead from Fantaasiccamtastic with Whitesand Mirage right behind.  Down the stretch Whitesand Mirage was inching his way towards the leader but could not get by - missing by a neck for his previous connections.  The race was timed in 1:50:2 and Whitesand Mirage clocked a 26:4 final quarter.

Whitesand Mirage, a 6 year old gelding out of Life Sign, will move into the Jeffrey S. Smith barn at Showplace Farms in Englishtown, NJ.
