A Little R&R Does Another Day's Body Good

May 11, 2007 - Another Day, fresh off a three week hiatus, visited the winner's circle for the twelfth time for PaceToPlaceStable.com.  Her victory came at 13-1 in a Non-winners of $8.000 Last 6 event that went for a purse of $16,000 at Woodbine Racetrack.

Leaving from post five, driver Michael Saftic, immediately asked Another Day for some early foot and she did not disappoint as she stepped around the inside horses to secure the lead into the first turn.  As they went around the first bend, Another Day hit the first quarter teletimer in a moderate 27:1.  With no one moving to the outside, Saftic backed down the pace with Northwestern and driver Howard Parked sitting patiently in the pocket.  As they passed the half mile mark in 56:3, Saftic was able to continue refilling Another Day's gas tank for the stretch.  The backfield then went into motion with Mark MacDonald and Rambarans Girl moving first over and that towed both Twin B Lovey and Delightfully Yours into it.  As they passwed three-quarters in 1:25:3, the outside flow was not doing much but the danger was the inside horses who sat in throughout.  However, with the gas tank back up, Another Day was able to secure her length and change lead with the only minor challenge coming from Parker and Northwestern from the pocket.  Another Day closed in a decent 28:2 to polish off her win in 1:54:0.

The five year old daughter of Artiscape took down a purse of $8,000 and is averaging $1,995 per start for the stable in 2007.
